Trait

Foyer Global Health expatriate insurance

The insurance contract is subject to Luxembourg health insurance laws, a significant advantage given the close resemblance to French law. Notably, the insurer cannot individually terminate or increase premiums for health reasons after the acceptance of an individual's enrollment.

The contract is exclusively at the 1st euro and lifelong. Enrollment is open to individuals under 60 years old or under 65 years old for active individuals. Three plans are offered, including two comprehensive plans covering optical/dental and maternity. The contract can be customized according to the needs of each insured, with a unique plan for each. Three deductibles are available: €250, €500, or €1,000 per year per person.

Basic assistance is included, with the option for comprehensive assistance; civil liability coverage is not available. Assistance is organized by Europ Assistance.

Very good plan, mediocre service

Antoine on  05/17/2022

I am satisfied with my plan with Foyer Group, it covers my needs well. It is difficult to get an answer by phone with an unpleasant person, who sends me back to the email. 7-10 days to get a response, no resolution/answer to my questions.Every time I needed help from the insurer for a claim, I always had to go through International Health, who always helped me.

Disappointed

Delphine on  01/28/2022

Their coverage is excellent, but 1) their customer service is very poor. They take hours to respond to emails and you have to follow up several times. And 2) they reject your claims without any explanation even when you are covered.CIGNA is more expensive but at least it is efficient.Translated from English: Their coverage is great, however 1) their customer service is very poor.
